After keeping my kitchen clean (dishes done and counters wiped off) for a few days in a row, I realize how much I HATE having it dirty. I cannot stand looking at the sink full of dishes and dirty counters all day. I tend to make time at some point during the day to clean it up. If only I could get the rest of the house to look like my kitchen counters, I would be in business.
I have decided that I really need to come up with some sort of "action plan" (restaurant term for a to-do list) for the week to stay on top of things. I think that is truly where I am lacking. I have no idea what I need to clean when I get up, so most days I do nothing. If I could break up the duties to a few each day, I think I would stay on task a little better, instead of trying to do it all in one day.
What is your cleaning schedule??

I was the same way about cleaning, once I kept the house really picked up for a few days in a row, I couldn't stand the mess anymore! I don't have a set cleaning schedule, but on Monday morning I divide up all the things I want to do M-F, and write it down. It usually is something like this;
M-wash sheets, vacuum
T-bathrooms
W-laundry, vacuum
R-re-organize office, mop
F-laundry, vacuum
Weekends are a free-for-all, and I just get done whatever! On top of the this, it's a given that I try to keep things picked up, and put away all the time (except for weekends!).
I have no cleaning plan...in fact, I have a clean the house "action plan" that's already past it's due date and only has one item marked off...sigh...I stink at life =0P
My typical schedule is I pick once a week, and on that one day, I get laundry started, clean bathrooms, dust, and vaccuum. And whatever else is needed to be done. I try to knock it out in one day, eliciting help from my hubs. Then I forget about it until the next scheduled day. When I worked a normal schedule, I did it every Saturday morning. But I know that works for me, I've heard of lots of people setting tasks each day of the week and it working for them, too! Good luck!
