Change is hard

Somethings I want to change, honestly!

*Being a couch bum all day long on my days off
*My eating habits
*My bedtime routine

*My kids bedtime routine

*My disorganization/clutter throughout my whole house

*My lack of desire to clean my disorganized/cluttered house

*Always paying bills late

*My short (seriously SHORT) temper with my 2 girls

*My sweets addiction

*My coke addiction

*My wine/margarita addiction

I am not sure when or how I will change my ways,
But I honestly do want to.
I know it is going to be hard,
excruciating even,
but to have a better quality of life,
I really need to change.

P.S.  It took me over a week to write this post.  I know that once I post this, I will have to follow through, and I am not sure I am ready to change.

You KNOW me, and how much we are alike. So when I decided to start making changes I thought it was going to be hard. I was to the point I was going insane with all the crap I was surrounded with, my attitude, and sadly my family!
My advice is to pick ONE area first. I started with bedtime-for ALL of us! If I got more sleep I'd have more energy, and drive to start changing other areas. My goal was the kids by 8 and us by midnight. I still fail often, but it's made a huge difference.
Then I went to exercise which made me feel better about myself and more willing to bring the other things up with me. Good luck! it will be hard, but sooooo worth it!

It's all about the little changes... and moderation. Still enjoy your coke, sweets, and wine, just not all three in the same day and not by the case/box. ;)

As far as the other habits, Kristi gave good advice about focusing on one at a time. Sometimes if you change one thing, some of the others will fall into place. Such as bedtime, if you and the girls are all getting more sleep due to a set bedtime, maybe they will do a few less things to short out your temper, and perhaps the start of a routine will help you have less of a short fuse. Make a routine, stick to it, and make sure the girls know what is expected (consistency is the key!!!).

You are a STRONG woman, Tiff, and I KNOW you can do ALL these things that you set out to! Love you and good luck!
