As a mom, there are days when I feel like running for the hills and coming back after bed time or resisting the urge to drink a beer at noon just to relieve some stress. There are days where we spend lots of hours in front of the TV, and some days we spend the whole afternoon outside at the park or playing on our street. Most days, though, are great; filled with laughter, dance parties, Barbies, and bikes, but there are a few days filled with boredom and arguments.
I am realizing that quality time is what you make of it, and to get the most out of it, you have to give yourself fully. That is what I intend to do! I intend to give more of myself to my hubby and my kids. I intend to have more Girls Nites with my besties. I intend on having my mom and grandpa over more and going to visit my dad and step mom more. I intend on giving myself more slack and giving myself a break from time to time.
Quality Time,
Coming Soon
To the ones I love!

I like this! Save one of those days for me please! :)
I feel this way so often. Have you ever heard of the enneagram personality test? You can find a quick version of it online for free, but you have to do some reading to make it really worth while. I'm thinking we might be the same type on there. I am the "helper" which could be described as: people-pleasing, caring, puts-others-first. I am trying to learn how to have a good balance of quality time, and work and rest. But it's hard!
Once you figure out how to have quality time with everyone, please let me know. It's so hard, especially remembering to take time for yourself.
Define "quality":) I sure hope I gave my children the time they needed, and the quality they deserved.
You are so right - "quality time is what you amke of it"! My kids are grown and they still need quality time from mom and dad - LOL !!! :)
Great post :) Very sweet and true. Thank you for sharing!

My kids are mostly moved away and I see most of them only a few days out of the year. Even though I worked a lot when they were young, I tried to make every moment with them special. I think they appreciated it. I do miss them now, but they are doing well for themselves.
