The only bad thing was not getting to spend enough time with my hubby, since he had to work. We did get treated to a special breakfast by my step mom! She made waffles, eggs, and sausage, yummo!! What a great way to send Marco off to work for the day!! I was able to nap with the baby while the girls and my dad went to a nearby park till lunch time. We had fajitas, homemade rice, and beans for lunch, it was also delicious. The kids and I hung out for most of the afternoon, then I packed up a plate for Marco and a bottle of wine and headed home. It was a great way to spend Father's Day!
To make up for Marco working on Father's Day, he decided to take a family trip to the movies last night, and the girls' and Marco had a great time watching Kung Fu Panda 2. I was in the hallway, bathroom, and ended up in the truck with the baby. *Not the best way to see a movie, so I definitely don't recommend it!* Marco and I ended the night with some Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ) and some Taco Cabana. We were woken up at 3 AM to thunder, lightning, rain, 65+ mph wind gusts, and quarter size hail here in Lewisville, but the good thing is all 3 kids slept through it and nothing was damaged.
I promised to give you my top reasons why my hubby is a great father, and so with out further adieu, here they are:
- He loves our kids with all his heart
- He works so extremely hard to provide for us and our needs
- He loves to make them laugh
- He loves cooking with them
- He is great at negotiating with them, especially when I can't
- Maddi is already such a big daddy's girl
There are so many more, but I have to get ready to grocery shop! I hope everyone had a great Father's Day weekend! What did you do???
