Terrific Tuesday #3

  • This past Saturday was our last soccer game of the season!  Maddi's team played very hard and the game was a hard played one that ended in a tie.  It was definitely the most exciting game of the season.

  • After soccer, we went to Tech's last home game to tailgate.  I am still amazed at how much fun can be had standing in a parking lot!
  • Saturday night, we had family movie night and watched Monsters University.  I don't think Brayden moved the whole time it was on.
  • We watched Monsters U twice on Sunday!  Brayden is now convinced he is Sully :)
  • I found a super cute jacket for a steal from an online garage sale site!  $1 for this baby, hells ya!

  • Paisley has been sleeping in her crib at night :)  She shares a room with Brayden and he uses a sound machine at night, and I think the noise helps her sleep.  With the heart beat sound playing, she sleeps great!  After I go to bed, she will sleep in the pack and play or with me after her late night feeding, but I am glad that she is sleeping in there some (it's a start).

  • Brayden is an awesome big brother!  He amazes me everyday with how much he loves her!  Today he watched her like a hawk while the doctor checked her out at her two month checkup.  It was so cute!
I really need to start writing things down during the week, when I sit in front of the computer my mind goes blank to the terrific things that happened early in the week.  This weekly post has made me look at my week different and to find joy in the small things.  I hope you are enjoying them as well.

What are some terrific things that happened to you this past week?

My Week with Brayden

After a full week with grandparents, the girls have made it back home safely.  We met my dad in Abilene (halfway between Lubbock and Dallas) on Saturday to pick them up.  And in the process, we gained a girl.  Savannah's mom drove her into Dallas last Sunday and my dad met up with them to pick her up.  She is back for the rest of the summer.  Bring on the craziness!

While the girls were gone, Brayden and I had lots of fun!  It was nice having one child for a little bit.  It was so quiet, there was no fighting, and Brayden loved getting all the attention.  He didn't ask where "Didi" (Maddi) was till Thursday.

Here is a quick recap of my week with B:

First up was a 3 hour drive home by myself after meeting my mom to give her the girls.  It was crazy quiet and I really did not enjoy it very much.  I love singing and being silly with the girls, Brayden pointing out the cows, windmills, and trains, and having the hubby with me for those questionable gas station stops.  But I made it home safely.

The rest of the week went by way too fast.

We took daddy donuts on Father's Day.

He painted a letter B for his room.

We went to the Science Spectrum and played.

We went on a dinner/movie date to Carino's and then to the drive in.

It was a great week and we had lots of fun!  He was royally spoiled and loved every minute of it!

I did miss my girls laughter and hugs and I am so very happy that they are home!

Till next time!

Zoolander

I love movies!  I especially love comedies!  Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell are two of my favorite actors and I love just about all of their movies!

Besides Zoolander, some of my favorite Ben Stiller movies are Dodgeball, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and Little Fockers, Along Came Polly, and the Heartbreak Kid.  The Madagascar movies and the Night at the Museum movies are some of the kids favorites (and I just read they are making a 3rd Madagascar!!!).

Will Ferrell has me in stitches in almost every movie he makes.  I love Talladega Nights, Blades of Glory, Old School, The Other Guys, just to name a few.  He has been a big hit in our house with the kids as well with Elf, Megamind, and Curious George.  I am so excited that they have announced they will be making Anchorman 2!!

I love these 2 actors and they surely make my night better when watching their movies.

Who are some of you favorite actors and movies??

This is my Z post for the A to Z challenge!!  I am so excited that I completed the list and that even though I was WAY behind at some points that I did finish and I am only a day late!!!  If you are visiting from the challenge please stop in and say hello so we can chat about our experiences!!
