Summer Catch Up

Wow!  I have really neglected my blog the past month, I am so sorry.  I am not sure why it keeps happening where I go through phases of not wanting to update, but I do.

I wish I could say it is because we have been so busy that I haven't had time to write, but that would be a HUGE lie.  I am babysitting 2 kids, so we tend to stay at the house.  Boring, I know!  But going out with 6 kids in tow is not really the greatest option.

My step daughter has been here for the summer, and the girls go through their moments of loving and loathing each other.  Almost daily (or hourly in most cases) there are serious laughs and playing great together, then fighting and arguing over a toy or where some one was sitting!  It seems very hard for the 3 of them to get along for more than a few hours.  This drives me crazy!  Just get along!  They are all 2 years apart, so I guess it is just a girl thing.  So I mainly spend my days sorting out fights and yelling at the kids.  I would love to not be involved all the time, but none of the girls ever budge so a fight could honestly last forever.  "Ain't nobody got time for that."

I didn't have a sister growing up, and I am sure to my older brothers, I was just the annoying little sister.  I played by myself or outside with the neighborhood kids.  I didn't have to share a room with anyone, so my stuff was MY stuff.  My brothers wanted nothing to do with my barbies, and I wanted nothing to do with their toys (whatever they were).

My girls, not only share a room, but when Savannah is in town, they also share their beds.  They take turns sleeping 2 to a bed and 1 alone.  I understand how hard it must be, but there is really nothing else that can be done, especially with the arrival of the new baby.  Her crib and stuff is in Brayden's room.  It is a tight squeeze, but one that we have to just make the best of.

Speaking of baby, I am now 32 weeks and I have a HUGE bump to show for it.

For more pictures of the bump, follow me on Instagram @ mamavsqz.  I know I haven't posted anything really on the baby, and I promise to soon.

While we haven't really done much this summer, besides a trip to Dallas, it has been pretty interesting.  Marco finally gave Carino's his notice and quit.  While Carino's was great and brought us to where we are today, he definitely needed a change.  He is still in the restaurant industry, but he is now with BJs.  I think he has really enjoyed the change of scenery, even though he is still in training.

Wow!  This post is all over the place!  I know I should update more often!

Here are the key points:
  • We have had a boring summer.
  • I normally have 6 kids in my house.
  • The girls fight constantly and I yell constantly.
  • My bump is now 32 weeks.
  • Marco got a new job.
You are now caught up.

Random Thoughts

Random Thoughts for the day

My hubby is gone for the night to go pick up his mom and daughter.  I hate nights that he is gone, but I am very excited to see a good friend that I haven't seen in YEARS!  Oh my gosh, I am ready for some girl time.

Is it weird to take kids to a liquor store?  I am in need of some vodka!  I feel like drinking for some reason, even though I work bright and early in the morn.  I have some of my low cal lemonade in the fridge that is calling to be drank with some Voli low cal vodka.

I am so over a disorganized house, but I am too lazy to deep clean it.  If I do find motivation to deep clean, then it gets dirty within hours and I feel like I wasted my time.

I have become obsessed with Adam Levine and Maroon 5 music!  I think Adam is one sexy man (especially with all his tattoos) and I am in love with his music.  I really like the song Payphone, but I also am finding out, thanks to Pandora, that I really love Maroon 5's older music as well.  If for some reason you don't know who Adam Levine is, here is a photo :)

Woozers!!

Do you have any celeb crushes or random thoughts?

I Passed

Wahoo!!
I passed my assessment and I am on my own as a Sales Consultant :)
I am so proud of myself.
Car sales was way out of my comfort zone and I know I have still have so much left to learn, but I did it.
It is very scary being 100% commission, but that just means that I have to work extra hard for the sales I will make.
I know I have it in me to be great!

World's Worst Blogger Right Here

I feel like the world's worst blogger, I have to admit!  I keep telling myself that I need to post and update you guys on all the things that I am doing, but I never seem to get around to it.  There is always something that needs to get done first (dishes, laundry, cleaning, playing, who am I kidding, facebook is the main culprit here).
I plan on posting more, I promise.  Then again, I have been filling all your head's with lies recently, so I will just say that I hope I can post more and keep you updated.

I am really enjoying my job, and I will be a full on Sales Consultant in the next few days.  It has been really tough, but I know that the real work will start soon.  The real work will come when I will be working for 100% commission.  As scary as it is, I am very excited and I am ready to work hard.  I will only be part time, but I already know that I will want to work as much as I can.  So far, I am really loving CarMax :)

My official name tag :)

I am also loving summer right now in my mom's house.  One of the perks of living here is the pool!  We are literally 30 ft. from a pool and it has become a great way to spend a few hours a day as often as we can.  The girls have totally come out of their water shells, and love being in the pool.  They are swimming from side to side, Ella is jumping in and going under, Maddi is doing flips and both are just really loving every minute of being in the water.  Brayden is warming up to the pool too, but he scares me because he has no fear of the water.

I would love to spend every day like this :)
Maddi is taking the pic for me LOL
What has been your favorite thing to do this summer?

I will leave it at that and I will talk to you guys soon!  That is, if I have any readers left.

The beginning of summer

It seems like forever since I have written, and for that I am sorry.

I have just been SO busy!!

I have been working like a crazy woman trying to get through training at CarMax, which so far I love, and trying to keep the kiddos entertained since it is summer.

First up, my job!  I got a job as a parttime sales consultant, but I don't want to be in training forever, so I have been working like crazy to try to get through it.  The job itself is way out of my comfort zone, so I am really being challenged with learning all the new information.  I have found an amazing sitter to be here with the kids while Marco and I are both working.  I do miss them while I am gone, but I know that in the end, both of us working with be worth it.  The best part about the job, all the walking!  I know most people wouldn't think that, but I love that I get to be so active.  Today, I made it through my first of four training stages, and I am ready to take on the rest.  I have lots of studying ahead of me, since cars aren't second nature for me, but I love a challenge!

The girls went to a sports camp this past week, and I am so proud of both of them.  Maddi stepped out of her comfort zone and tried basketball, and even though she isn't very good, she really liked it.  She knows she needs more practice, and I want to find her a league so she can continue playing something she loves.  Ella played soccer and was not impressed by the camp.  She said she was bored since she already knew everything the coaches were saying, but she stuck it out.  She was so proud of her spring soccer team, the Lady Firebirds, that the 2nd day she wore her whole uniform to show off to the other kids in the camp.  That day she was the only one to score a goal during the scrimmage.

There are so many things that I want to do with the kids this summer, that I need to make a list, to make sure they all get done!

Here are a few of my ideas:

Ice skating
Bowling
Aquarium
Picnic at a park
Skating
Movies
Zoo
And lots of swimming.

Any other suggestions are welcome :)

I hope everyone is set up for a great summer, and I hope I can check in more than I have been.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Remember Father's Day is Sunday!!

My New Job!!

I am proud to announce that I have a new job!!
I am going to be a part time (for now) sales consultant at CarMax!
I could not be happier!
This job is going to be challenging, exciting, and faced paced!
Just what I need to get me out of my rut!
Wahoo!!
So ready for a change!

I am feeling kinda blah this week, and I know it is because my butt has not been in the gym!
I haven't been since last Wednesday, and I am feeling it!!
I have BodyRocked a few days, but I am in need of a good run!!
*I honestly never thought those words would come out of my mouth!*

How do you guys stay motivated to work out?

I have started using MyFitnessPal again, to keep myself on track with my eating (please feel free to follow me so we can keep each other accountable)!

How do you stay in control of your eating?  Do you allow cheat days or splurge when ever you want?

What Have You Been Up To?

Here's what I have been up to:
  • Working out is on my mind every single day, it consumes my thoughts!  It is crazy how much my attitude has changed, and I actually want to work out, no I crave working out.  I am slowly falling in love with running, and I absolutely love to Body Rock (a 12 minute workout that has me sweating more than I ever thought I could)!  I love the saying, "Sweat is fat crying."  I want my fat to cry every day!!
  • When I am not working out, I sit on the computer and "pin" workouts and healthy meals and snacks from pinterest (feel free to follow me).
  • With that being said, I have changed my eating about 80%.  That is a huge step for me.  I know that I want to do better, eat more cleanly, so to speak, but I also know it will take some time.  My hubby is not there yet, and since I still have to feed him, I still have to make foods he likes.  I have started swapping salads and veggies for chips and tots, and that is a HUGE start.  I have also swapped ice cream for Skinny Cow products and Oreos for Oreo flavored pudding.  I am in the process of giving up cokes, and have started replacing those with diet green teas from Lipton.  It is a long road, but I know the little changes will start making a big difference!
  • I haven't seen any movement on the scale, which is very frustrating.  I figured that I would be down 10+ pounds by now.  I normally would just give up and binge and not look back, but I am changing.  I tend to binge on the weekends, then I spend the week trying to make up for what I did.  I have realized that, and I am going to be more honest with myself.

  • I just got a job!!  It is parttime working 2 nights a week and 10 hours on Saturday!  I am going to be a sales consultant with CarMax!  I am so excited to start, and ready for a challenging job!
  • I am so very ready for summer to start!  I have an overnight trip planned with the hubby, a soccer swim party, and a beach vacation planned already, and that is just in the first few weeks of June.
What have you been up to?
Any fun summer plans yet?

STRESSED

I have to say that stress is starting to weigh me down!  I desperately need a job, I started back to college with online classes, and the holidays are quickly approaching.

I really need a job since I quit working at Carinos.  An overnight parttime job would be perfect so I wouldn't have to send my kids to daycare and have an extra expense.  A weekend job would be great if it is close to my best friend that said she would watch my kids for me on the weekends.  I just know that the weight of me not having a job is starting to add up, and I just wish I could find something.  I have done so many online applications, and I have not gotten any responses!!!  Which makes me even more upset, because it seems that I am not qualified for any work.  I just need something to help me contribute to my family's expenses.

I started back to college this semester with Strayer University.  They are an amazing college specifically designed for adults working or not to try to further their careers by going to college.  They only have evening classes and online classes, and their semesters are broken up into 4 mini semesters as opposed to two big semesters.  I have just started my first week, and I am already overwhelmed.  It has been 9+ years since I have been to college and I am worried that I will not know how to find the time to study and do all of the online work that is required.  **Yes I know I could be studying right now instead of blogging, but I need this time to vent so please don't judge, plus I watched a lecture and posted to discussion questions already today**

The holidays stress me out the most.  It is one after another and each one costs more than the previous!  Starting with Halloween and the cost of costumes and decorations, then the cost of food at Thanksgiving, and then the cost of gifts at Christmas.  I am trying to save where I can, and figure out ways to earn extra money (see #1 of my stresses), so hopefully we can be prepared for the fall/winter holidays.

Thank you for letting me vent!!
