Terrific Tuesday #3

• This past Saturday was our last soccer game of the season!  Maddi's team played very hard and the game was a hard played one that ended in a tie.  It was definitely the most exciting game of the season.

• After soccer, we went to Tech's last home game to tailgate.  I am still amazed at how much fun can be had standing in a parking lot!
• Saturday night, we had family movie night and watched Monsters University.  I don't think Brayden moved the whole time it was on.
• We watched Monsters U twice on Sunday!  Brayden is now convinced he is Sully :)
• I found a super cute jacket for a steal from an online garage sale site!  $1 for this baby, hells ya!

 

• Paisley has been sleeping in her crib at night :)  She shares a room with Brayden and he uses a sound machine at night, and I think the noise helps her sleep.  With the heart beat sound playing, she sleeps great!  After I go to bed, she will sleep in the pack and play or with me after her late night feeding, but I am glad that she is sleeping in there some (it's a start).

 

• Brayden is an awesome big brother!  He amazes me everyday with how much he loves her!  Today he watched her like a hawk while the doctor checked her out at her two month checkup.  It was so cute!

I really need to start writing things down during the week, when I sit in front of the computer my mind goes blank to the terrific things that happened early in the week.  This weekly post has made me look at my week different and to find joy in the small things.  I hope you are enjoying them as well.

Awkward and Awesome

I used to write Awkward and Awesome posts all the time way back when...so I thought I would try it again today.

Awkward

• feeling under dressed to pick the girls up from school.  It is like keeping up with the Jones' and my outdated closet barely allows me to keep up!
• having the cutest olive green skirt to wear but NO tops to wear it with!
• the Rangers!  Seriously!  What is up with them?  Not sure if we are even going to make it to the playoffs!!
• Brayden's lack of sleeping all night in his own bed. 2:30-3 am seems to be a great time for him to wake up screaming, resulting in me going to get him, resulting in no more sleep for the hubby and I!
• not hearing back about a job that I thought I was perfect for!  Really??  I am amazing at hanging out with children all day, call me back!!

Awesome

• Brayden being potty trained {mostly}.  We are 100% undies during the day and a diaper at night!!
• Tailgating with friends again this weekend, even though it is supposed to be super cold! 
• Already making plans to go to a pumpkin patch with friends here in Lubbock!  I feel so special they want us tagging along!  Plus it is on Ella's bday, so hopefully she will feel special!
• Getting 101 free prints from Shutterfly and finally updating our picture frames!
• Decorating for fall and Halloween!
• Finding a new favorite blog {Where we can live like Jack and Sally}, and linking up a Vlog tomorrow with Holly!!  Eek!  I am a little scared but excited!
• Getting our first visitors this weekend!!  One of my best mom friends and her family from Sherman is driving in to see us {well mainly her brother since he lives here and all}, but we will get to see her and hang out a little!  I am so excited!!!!!

Brayden turned 2

With all the craziness going on with the move, not having internet set up for the computer, and school starting, I totally forgot to post about Brayden turning 2!!

I can't believe my boy is already 2.  He is a lot of things, but baby is not one of them anymore.  Of course, I will still call him my baby boy, but him growing up is just a part of life I have to deal with.

He is VERY into Mickey right now, but calls him "mouse."  He knows all the other characters and loves singing along to the opening and closing of the show.  He, however, does not really like the old Mickey cartoons.  He loves the Mickey Mouse shaped cheese, his Mickey undies, pj's and shirts, and his new Mickey toy that his Pappy and Granny (my dad and step mom) mailed him for his birthday.  That boy is obsessed with "mouse."

He loves to push things.  His NeNe (my mom) sent him a rolling suit case and he has been pushing it all over the house. 

He is still sleeping in the crib, but it is mainly because he has not once tried to climb out!  I am going to leave the crib together as long as I can.

He LOVES my iPhone and iPod.  He has his own apps, and he knows how to work my phone just as well (if not better) than I do.

He is a VERY picky eater! 

He is mostly potty trained!  He wears diapers or pull ups for naps and bedtime and most of the time if we leave the house, but if we are home or going on a short trip, we are in undies!!  He sits on the potty backwards and loves to flush.

He is talking a lot more and copies just about everything that is said.  He loves singing, and is so super silly!!

He loves talking on the phone!  We are just getting into Skype and I am sure he will love that too.

He loved swimming this summer and had no fear of the water.

If you ask him if he is two, he will say three. 

He is growing up so fast, and I am loving every minute (well except for the throwing himself on the floor in a tantrum like manner to get juice or cheese) of being his mommy!
